Hey CF, will you be playing on 360 or PS2? If you're playing on 360 I want to play you sometime.

I got 2007 and played it for a week and stopped. It was a GREAT game I just didnt feel the urge to play it so it was basically 60 dollars to waste. This year I am just going to wait until Blockbuster has it in stock and rent it. If its good enough, ill go out and buy it but if its like it is always (the same game just different rosters) then Im not.

I waited at Gamestop from 11:30 until I got it for PS3.

Only place that I know that was doing that midnight stuff was Walmart and since I am not fond of that store, I think I will wait until tomorrow. Looking forward to good reviews hopefully.

Played half a game and it looks much different from last year. Different good...I think. I gotta really play for a solid 2-3 hours tonight.

If anybody plays the online PS2 version hit me up and we can play sometime!

can you create a school like you could on the original xbox version?  you cant on 2007, which really sucks.

I'm picking it up for PS2 as soon as I get off work (which can't come soon enough!).  Can't wait to jump in and start creating my ASU dynasty!

If I wanted to watch DVDs, Id buy a PS3. If I wanted to play video gaems, Id by a Xbox 360...... and I did.

one big knock i personally have against the 360 is that it doesnt have a good baseball game.


ill prolly rent NCAAF 08 on ps3 once blockbuster gets it. i would buy it but i never play it once maddens out

Xbox 360 has MLB 2k7. Yeah I know, 2k6 sucked but 2k7 is 20 times better.

2K7 is still very choppy and not all that great.  Compared to MLB the show, it gets blown away.

If I wanted a system that crashed very easily, I would have bought a Xbox 360 and If I wanted a great video game system/blu-ray player (blu-ray is the future) I would get a PS3... and I did.

I don't know where you are hearing this but I have had mine for over 2 years and the graphics are great and it hasn't crashed once.

ive actually heard a lot of problems with the 360 lately with it crashing with almost all of them getting it this past christmas.

I got it for PS2 at 5 am yesterday morning.  I've gotta say its pretty sweet.  The graphics are about the same as last year's, but the gameplay's improved. 

The home screen is a 3-ring binder-style layout with your options on the left, and team-specific stuff on the right. The game modes are pretty much the same, just new features in Campus Legend, Online Play, and Dynasty.  There is one new mode called 'Points Pursuit'.  Its a scrimmage-style game which gives you points based on what you do.  You get yards, you get points.  Make a stop, you get points, etc.  Its never-ending scoring so your point totals get really high, really quickly.

Another new thing is 'My Shrine'.  Its a room thats decked out including a big circle with your team's logo in the middle of the floor.  Inside the shrine, theres your ESPN Instant Classics, Trophy Case, and Record Books.  There's some new things.  Your pennants (boosts and cheats) are in here now.  There's a new feature called 'Report Card' which grades you in Passing, Catching, Running, Tackling, and Covering.  Theres also your photo gallery, where you can take in-game photos and keep for personal reflection later on.  The coolest feature in my opinion are the Victory Patches.  Theres a space for each of the 119 D-1 teams, also breaking it down by conference, and when you beat them, you get a 'patch' which is there as proof for those who say 'haha, yeah right' and also a pride factor.

The actual gameplay rocks in this version.  The AI has improved so much, especially on defense.  The CPU has gotten so much smarter, allowing less big-plays and mistakes, forcing you to actually become a better player.  The motivation feature is wonderful.  Each time a player steps up to make a big play, that position (sometimes including others) gets a ratings boost.  The highest I've gotten to so far is +3, so it may go higher.  The dB rating increased from 120 to 130. 

Personally, I'm a Clemson fan, and I've been playing as the Tigers.  Impact players include James Davis, Tramaine Billie, and Michael Hamlin.  Overall they're a B with Offense receiving B- and Defense getting a B+.  The rosters could've gotten more attention from the developers as there are a few numbers that dont match.   They have Alex Pearson as 44 instead of 41, and have Willy Korn as 2 instead of 3.  Other than that, everything is great with the game.

Whether a casual or hardcore football fan, this is definately worth the purchase, or at the very least a week's rental... regardless of system.  My rating of NCAA Football 08: 9/10.

It's ridiculous how crazy people get about "Xbox is better/worse than Playstation."  Sheesh fellas...

I can play online on mine also, I just got done playing my 5th NCAA  08 game on my PS3.

despite all the complaining about PS online, ive never had a problem..open a port on my router and ive been able to connect with everyone whenever i want

None at all actually and I am hooked up to the wireless internet on my PS3.

They discontinued on PSP, now nothing to play on 5 hours plane ride to Vegas, must be FORCED to read .

Bought it for PS2 today, trying to re-name all players, yeah it's official, I have no life.

I'm lazy, I just by a memory card on eBay with the rosters already done.  I can't play using guys like "HB #32" and such.

Same here, stayed @ Gamestop until midnight to get it on PS2.

I was going to do that but parents wouldn'y let me, lol. I had to buy a new memory card anyways! Dad doesn't "trust" ebay anymore, haha.
