As I'm sure many of you know, there are yet more rumors floating around out there about Kobe Bryant and his infidelity. In fact, it's reached the point that Kobe's now suing the web site that started the rumor.But there's just one problem, the rumor won't die.
An ESPN reporter of all people is continuing to push the rumor on her own personal blog. Is that good journalism? Probably not, but whatever. Makes for entertaining reading.
Anyway, Laura Lane, an ESPN employee, wrote on her blog that she had got cussed out by Vanessa Bryant not that long ago for writing an article in which she took an extremely minor poke at Vanessa wearing a purple tutu to Kobe's MVP presentation. And by cussed out, I mean SERIOUSLY cussed out:
“F*** you! How dare you write about me and my daughters and their schedule! You didn’t say you were writing an article! F*** you! You f****** bitch. You have no journalism ethics! F*** you! You bitch - ”Yes, that's pretty bad. But she says the reason she got cussed out was because Vanessa is sort of mad about Kobe fooling around. And Lane even spoke with Lakers cheerleaders who confirmed that the cheerleader that Bryant is rumored to have hooked up with inexplicably quit the team during the playoffs - as in she was forced to quit.
We also get the chance to hear from Lane that Vanessa is more or less psychotic. And Lane pretty much says she can understand why Kobe would cheat on her. Ouch.
In all honesty though, it's hard not to feel somewhat bad for Vanessa Bryant. She pretty much has no life. She never went to college, she doesn't do anything, and I'm sure she just more or less sits around wondering if Kobe's cheating on her. Sounds awesome.
But then again, as bad as it sounds, I'm sure that's more or less what life is like for most athletes' wives.
