The ESPY Award nominations were announced today and there were a few glaring omitions. Assuming of course, that these awards were actually important.Best Moment I assumed the finish to the Boise State - Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl was a lock to win this categogy, let alone be a finalist. In fact, I'm certain one you mentioned this during the live-game thread. Now as a whole it was obviously nominated as Best Game, which is should undoubtedly win, but was there a better moment in sports this year.
Best Play I know it wasn't the game winner, but I'd have voted for the hook and ladder (not included) over the Statue of Liberty. That's just me.
Best Upset Let's be honest, was Florida over Ohio State really that big of an upset? I understand the need to spread out awards, but again what about Boise State.
Best NBA Player Take out Carmelo Anthony, insert Kevin Garnett.
Best Baseball Player If this is for MVP of last season then the list is fine. If it's for the best baseball player over the last 12 months, don't you have to include the guy who's not a true Yankee yet?
