The Uruguayan goal-scoring machine, Edinson Cavani is flattered by news linking him to top notch clubs across Europe. The 25-year-old striker has been one of the hottest transfer prospects in the market for more than two years now.
Edinson Cavani’s desire to stay at Napoli is the only reason the former Palermo players is still at Naples. The forward has been offered lucrative salary packages, but the Uruguayan international’s mutual love relationship with Napoli is far too great to be broken by tokens of monetary gifts.
Over the past 12 months there has been a massive increase in transfer speculation about Edinson Cavani, which means the world class striker is closer to a switch than he ever was before.
Edinson Cavani admits moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid are an “attractive” option, but his main focus right now is to win the Scudetto with Napoli. The Italian football giants are currently positioned second on the Serie A table, breathing down the necks of defending champions, Juventus.
Edinson Cavani rose to fame after moving from Palermo to Napoli. The youngster made an instant impact at the Italian powerhouse by scoring 33 goals in 47 appearances. The next season Edinson Cavani scored 33 goals again, this time in 48 appearances. This season Edinson Cavani is scoring goals at a phenomenal rate. He has already scored 27 goals in only 26 appearances.
Due to his stunning form, top notch clubs across Europe are ready to break their banks for the striker. There has been a massive increase in Edinson Cavani ever since he revealed there is a €63 million release clause in his contract. 
Presently, Real Madrid and Barcelona appear to be the front runners for Edinson Cavani, although Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly closing in on him as well.
“Real Madrid and Barcelona are two great clubs, amongst the strongest in the world, and it is obvious that they are attractive,” Edinson Cavani La Gazzetta dello Sport in a recent interview. “The tension rises just when you name those two sides. However, I honestly don't know whether there is the option to join one of those.
“At the moment I have the opportunity to win the Scudetto with Napoli and I'm just concentrating on that aim. I still have four years left on my contract. You never know what will happen in football, but I just work on a day by day basis to get the best.”
