Main Event:
- 265 lbs: Kimbo Slice (3-0) vs. Ken Shamrock (26-13-2)
Kimbo Slice is currently undefeated in professional MMA, although Ken Shamrock is by far his toughest opponent so far. But Kimbo does have one loss, which you can see above, which happened before his professional career began. Sean Gannon, a Boston police officer who parlayed his fame from the win over Kimbo into a brief UFC career.
Ken Shamrock would have destroyed Kimbo 10 years ago. Probably even 5 years ago. But nowadays, he's the epitome of "washed up". He has 5 straight losses, and he hasn't looked impressive at all in years. His ego is more dangerous than he is, at this point. Look for Kimbo to keep this fight standing up, where he will beat Ken's ego into the mat.

Gina Carano will be fighting against Kelly Kobald. Carano is MMA's poster girl, and Kobald is one of the sport's most successful female fighters, but coming off a couple losses. It's hard to believe that EliteXC would give her a fight that they thought she could lose, because the undefeated Carano is their bread and butter, along with Kimbo. So look for a win for Carano, and possibly some very shady judging if it goes to decision. That being said, a win for Kobald wouldn't exactly cripple EliteXC. If they market her properly, they could do nearly as well, in my opinion. And perhaps a loss is just what Carano needs to motivate her to make weight on her first try.
Also fighting is former UFC legend Andrei Arlovski. He'll look to continue his climb back up the heavyweight ladder with a win over Roy Nelson.
