It's safe to say Elliot Johnson has learned his lesson about sliding on his face

Last night against the Blue Jays, Rays infielder Elliot Johnson attempted to score and slid literally face-first into home plate.

Unfortunately for Johnson, he was called out.

Worse yet, his face got completely messed up.

Even worse, to add insult to injury, his teammate David Price tweeted a picture of the carnage for all the world to see.

I'm willing to bet that Johnson has learned his lesson here, and will switch up his sliding technique at least a little bit.

There's nothing wrong with sliding HEAD first, even if it's occasionally a bit risky.

Face first, however, is never a good idea. You really don't want to be sliding across the dirt on your face. That's a bad look, homie.
