Reports have confirmed that top notch English clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool are in the race to acquire the services of Anderlecht forward Matias Suarez. Rumors suggest that a couple of other European clubs like AC Milan, Inter Milan, Paris-Saint Germain and Juventus are eyeing the saga closely.
Jorge Cyterzpiler, Suarez’s agent has confirmed the interest shown by English clubs. He also admitted to an inquiry from the Italian outfit Juventus. The Italian website Calciomercato quoted him saying:
“The player has attracted interest from clubs in England and Italy. Liverpool have been spoken about but both Manchester clubs are also watching him. Juventus also have a chance to sign him. In April I will be in Italy to discuss his future. In the summer he will certainly move on but Anderlecht won’t let him go for cheap.”
Suarez is expected to be put on sale for £10 million, however as the number of clubs interested in him, therefore there his price could increase. The 23-year old Argentine has been in phenomenal form for Anderlecht since his signing 2008. Suarez has made 139 appearances, scored 42 goals and provided 34 assists.
Sources have revealed that Arsenal and Liverpool are ready to dig deep into their pockets sign Suarez. The Gunners might lose in-form striker Robin van Persie at the end of the season. Persie’s exit will leave a massive void in Gunners’ strike force.
Liverpool on the other hand might have to sell their controversial Uruguayan star Luis Suarez. His impact at Anfield has been unimpressive although he still is one of Liverpool’s most prized assets on the field. Misfiring striker Andy Carroll is another reason Kenny Dalglish needs to add more blood to Reds’ attack.
Suarez will probably sign up with the club that offers him a better contract. Arsenal is expected to increase the wages of their players in the new season, therefore Dalglish will have to come face to face with Arsene Wenger if he wants to bring another Suarez to Liverpool.
