Man, what is it with NFL players and bars right now? Apparently Plaxico Burress wasn't the only NFL wide receiver who did something incredibly stupid on Friday night. Former Bills player Eric Moulds now finds himself in hot water after having allegedly gotten into fight at a Buffalo bar, apparently because he got ticked off that a guy was pestering him for an autograph. The alleged victim told police that the ex-player punched him in the face when he told the player he admired him and asked for his autograph, an officer familiar with the investigation said Saturday night.
The player felt that he was being harassed, the officer said.
Why anyone would want Eric Moulds' autograph is beyond me, but hey, Buffalo's a pretty small town. While the Buffalo News report makes it sound like it was nothing more than one punch thrown, WIVB News in Buffalo says it was actually "a serious fight."
Current Bills player Josh Reed was also at the bar, but had nothing to do with the fight.
Moulds is currently a free agent and looking to sign on with another team, but this might nix that chance.
One thing that definitely won't help Moulds, the guy who asked for his autograph is an Iraq War veteran. Personally, I hope he signs with a team just so he can immediately get suspended by Goodell.
