Now it's Evan Mathis.
Mathis is apparently unhappy in Philly, and is shopping for a new gig. The Pro Bowl Left Guard is two years into a $25.5 million deal, and has asked the team to rework the deal, as his $5.1 million average per year is a little short, in his opinion, when considering his contributions to the team. He has started 47 of 48 games since joining the team in 2011, and is considered one of the best interior offensive linemen.
In response, the team has been trying to gauge his trade value. When told of his disatisfaction, coach Chip Kelly wasn't overly concerned, saying,
Those comments certainly aren't something any player would hope to hear from their coach.
Evan, however, took it all in stride and tweeted a picture of his signing bonus check.
Yeah, right. There it is, his huge "Signing Bonus Check".
Here's hoping Evan finds a new home, soon.
