well pack fans... here we are again. favre-hog day. With free agency started and mini camps on the horizon...Brett just can't seem to make up his mind. And is he really making it clear to Ted Thompson that if he signs randy Moss he will come back? ( de ja vu) Most so called NFL people "in the know" say brett's answer will come this week. Now, by "in the know", their sources may be the guy at the Exxon station in hattiesburg that sells brett his tins of chaw for all we know. I doubt Thompson wants Moss and doubt whether Moss wants Thompson, but when it comes to favre... we all know nothing would surprise us. But the one thing we do know is that Aaron Rodger's time is coming soon. Now, it still seems mighty awkward to have brett walk away from a great young team that was an OT FG away from returning to the Super Bowl...but as I said, nothing will surprise me. But...say Moss re-signs with NE and Brett walks away into the swapms... the whole dynamic of our team changes. But...my "expectations" remain high. I certainly don't expect Rodgers to be as good as brett...that would be absurd. But I expect Rodgers to step in with a great array of receivers and use his mobility to manage games and let our talented defense and special teams make plays. I would hope there would not be a lot of "rookie" mistakes. Rodgers is not a rookie and should not play like one. yes, being a full time starter for a contender is a pressure packed proposition. But, I expect results and should Rodgers become our man this week...anything worse than 10-6 and another NFC North crown would be very disappointing. Rodgers will add new wrinles to the offense with his mobility. But at the same time, we will have to accept the fact that he won't have Brett's "laser beams". I think Rodgers would need to use the TE's and RB's more than Brett as he gets comfortable. But, unlike year's past... if brett leaves, we still have a good young team, and that is the nicest part of all. Rodgers durability is already a big concern before he has even started a game...ironic when you look who he is replacing. But, with 3 years to get ready... I expect him to be a winning QB right away. I say if brett comes back...Packers can once again be 13-3   /  12-4. If Brett leaves... anything worse than 10-6 and I'm very disappointed.
