FAU DE says 'Alabama can be beat'

FAU DE inserts foot into mouth regarding Alabama

Sep 15, 2012; Fayetteville, AR, USA; Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban reacts to a play in the fourth quarter against the Arkansas Razorbacks at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Alabama defeated Arkansas 52-0. Mandatory Credit: Nelson Chenault-US PRESSWIREIn what may be the funniest story in some time, Florida Atlantic DE Cory Henry was quoted with the following statement about the No. 1 ranked team in the country and opponent for this coming Saturday, Alabama... '"They ain't what people think, they're good and everything, but they can (be) beat, too. They just execute well. They just execute and beat you."

Wait, what? First of all, I can't imagine he believes FAU will be the one to beat the Crimson Tide. I'm sure he was just stating that another National powerhouse could beat Bama, and of course that can happen. Nobody, not even I, who happens to be a huge Bama fan, is saying they can't lose this year. In fact, I feel they have exceeded expectations already. And, I don't mean by being undefeated, but by embarrassing Michigan and Arkansas.

FAU is 1-2 on the season and just lost 56-20 at Georgia. Their win was against FCS Wagner, and they won that game 7-3. Not saying Nick Saban needs bulletin board material for any team, however, why give the players a reason not to sleep walk through this game? I mean really--Bama could play their back-ups and win this game by 2 touchdowns.

The best was FAU head coach Carl Pelini's attempt at damage control. Here's his quote regarding Bama... "as finely coached a team as I've seen" and noted that "they don't make a lot of mistakes, and you can't either if you want to have any chance at all." The only thing he didn't say is that Nick Saban walks on water and they are a lock to win the National Championship.

I don't know if Saban has any relationship with Pelini, or what he thinks of him and the program. The thing is, if Saban is going to fake a punt up 28-0 in the 4th quarter against Western Kentucky, then what will he do in this game? This could be a blood bath of epic proportions.

How great was that National Championship game, where your great offense that averaged 40 points per game didn't reach mid field until the 4th quarter? Tough to stomach, wasn't it? FAU as much a chance of beating Alabama as LSU did in scoring a touchdown against the Tide last year. 8 quarters plus overtime and that never happened.

well you have to blame Les Myles for that lame effort too.  They choked and they didn't adjust at all to Bama!  Kept trying the same thing over and over and consistently failing at it!

yes Give the kid credit, at least he's not disin' Satan I mean Saban. Dear God, please watch over this brave young man as he's playin Sataday and may he find the strength to endure whatever the Prima Donna throws his way. Amen.

Now look folks, we all kno how bad others wanna beat the Tide so don't go off on a wild hair and criticize this kid. It's bad enuff at what happened last year fore the 2nd meetin tween our beloved LSU and Bama. We certainly don't need any replays of that. We all need to remember "on any given day the unbeaten will become the beaten". Look at what happened to USC for Pete's sake. Who knew? I don't think Pete Carroll did, hmmmmmmmm. Lets just hope this brave soul doesn't get his head, an arm, or a leg handed to him on a platter. But wouldn't it be funny as hell if the Tide did fall? Not that I wouldn't want us at 1 instead of 2 cause it's still too early in the season yet for that, I just wanna see a certain arrogant bunch realize they're not unstoppable. GEAUX LSU (and FAU just for this game mind you).,hahahahaha.

what he said was akin to:  "he's not smarter than me he just has a higher IQ and got a 4.0 average to my 1.7 average"  or  "Joe Montana wasn't that great of a quarterback when he wasn't on the filed!"  or
"He's not stronger than me, he just bench presses more than me and is taller and has bigger muscles that's all!"

what he said was just plain D.U.M.B.  they aren't that great, they can be beat... well not by your team my friend.
