With the NFL Draft coming on April 25, we're putting together a Mock Draft for the first round of the draft, featuring a combination of FanIQ Featured Writers, as well as some great NFL team bloggers from around the internet. Today, we'll feature picks from the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos. Every day until Friday, April 24, we will post more picks, with recaps of why each player was chosen, with some other analysis. Next up is John from the Mile High Report, with the #12 pick for the Denver Broncos.

Here are the picks so far:

1. Detroit Lions - Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest
2. St Louis Rams - Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia
3. Kansas City Chiefs - Jason Smith, OT, Baylor
4. Seattle Seahawks - Matthew Stafford, QB, Georgia
5. Cleveland Browns - Micahel Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech
6. Cincinnati Bengals - Michael Oher, OT, Mississippi
7. Oakland Raiders - BJ Raji, DT, Boston College
8. Jacksonville Jaguars - Everette Brown, LB, Florida State
9. Green Bay Packers - Brian Orakpo, DE, Texas
10. San Francisco 49ers - Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri
11. Buffalo Bills - Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma State

The Broncos have needs all over the place, but none more than on the defensive line.  The Broncos need to get younger and more athletic on defense and, like most teams, need to find a way to get to the quarterback.

With another pick at #18, the Broncos can go several directions at #12 with some even thinking they could look at quarterback.  That won't happen, but if B.J. Raji falls the Broncos will look hard.  They will also consider Tyson Jackson, Rey Maualua and Brian Cushing.  All would be suitable, and a couple of them should be available about 75 minutes later when the Broncos pick again.

That leads us to the Maybin pick. Maybin would have probably been better served staying in school one more season, but there is no doubting his athletic ability and explosiveness.  Maybin was impressive at the combine and while his college stats may be a bit lacking, he also played for a system team at Penn State.  I think Maybin projects to be a much better pro than college player, and let's face it, the Broncos defense needs all the help it can get.

There is still time.

No pressure on this pick, right?  I hear that Josh McDaniels is having a hard time finding draft picks who are better than players on the Patriots.  Duh.  If you can't make your own great players, maybe this job is too much for you Josh.

What were no Browns DL rejects available?

The Broncos need a player that can step in right away on D, not a project..  Maybin and Jackson may be physical freaks, but they are probably 2-3 years from being football players, not just athletes.  I don't want another Jarvis Moss..  Give me Maualuga.. Or Raji if he's still there..

Again these are the thoughts of an man who is not "sane"

I think Tyson Jackson is the pick here.

I know the consensus seems to be that the Broncos need to pick a new coach and along with a QB. However this team needs to fix this defense in the worst way. This team needs to find the commodity that maybe even more so than finding a franchise QB, (oh the irony) is find quality defensive linemen who can play in a 3-4. Being a 3-4 lineman that can post against the run, push the pocket, and keep the backers as clean are as rare as salads for Andy Reid. Especially at NT.  So I am praying that Raji can fall to 12, but he won't. If they do not have the DL they want in their sights, at this spot, then go grab the best LB available, since next to the DL the Broncos LB corps have been a mess since the loss of Al Wilson. Outside of D.J. Williams, the Broncos LB depth makes Nicole Richie looks like Shelly Winters. Oh hell the whole defense needs an upgrade.

As for the QB situation, I am not enamored with either QB who are projected as 1st rounders. So picks the Broncos need to make should be defense, defense, defense, also this team may actually want to start using draft picks on special teams players. Note the Broncos special teams have been as much of as mess as the whole Cutler/McDaniels affair. So unless an incredible offensive player falls into your lap the Broncos know where their needs lie.

Okay I have jabbered enough.

The Dirty Sanchez continues to drop.  The fun thing about this mock draft is that the real draft is so up in the air that none of these selections can be unrealistic.

McDaniels came to town and wrecked shop!  His road to recovery begins with this pick.  I think you have it right on this one.  Maybe Maualuga with 18.
