We couldn't find a Panthers rep, so I'll be standing in. Just don't ask me about any of their players except Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly, and Steve Smith.
Alright, let's get to this. (Sorry, no pictorals this week. Jess didn't have time and I don't have the skill or patience.)
NFC Divisional Playoff
New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks
Time - 4:35 pm
Broadcast - FOX
Stoney: It was only 5 weeks ago when the Seahawks throttled the Saints at home 34-7 in front of a national TV audience. They kept the potent New Orleans offense in check and held them under 200 total offensive yards. Russell Wilson had one of his better statistical games of the year and Seattle solidified their position as Super Bowl favorites. After going to Philly and winning their opening round playoff game, the Saints are looking for revenge, but they’re going to have to play the perfect game to win this one. It will start with keeping Marshawn Lynch in check and hope that Russell Wilson falters. I think the difference in this game will be the Seahawks secondary which will give Drew Brees fits all day and come up with at least one huge interception in the 4th quarter
Seattle 27 – New Orleans 20Marcus: The electric RussEll Wilson has been Virtually unbEatable at home veRsuS nEarly all comers. The Saints Just have too many holes in theIr defensive back field right now and a moNth hasn’t been long enough to come up with a fiX for what ailed them last time. The scenic and charming city of Seattle with its completely understated and level headed fan base will no doubt enjoy this well fought victory. Bravo.
Seahawks 24 - Saints 20
Michael G: Seahawks 30 Saints 20....I'd love to see the Saints upset here so we can have one last game at "The Stick" (pending a Niner victory in Carolina), but I don't see it happening.
Mike: Tough one as I can see either team puking all over themselves. I’m going to go out on a limb and take the Saints in a close one. Rob Ryan’s defense will do just enough and Mark Ingram will be the hero on offense as New Orleans beats Seattle at their own ground and pound game. Saints 23-21Oddfool: Seattle recently dominated New Orleans. This game will end up being a close rematch with Seattle taking the win 35-20
Mike G: I like the Seahawks at home, where they have only lost one game in the last 15. Marshawn Lynch has a big day. Prediction Saints 21 Seahawks 31
Jess: I refuse to pick this game…I’ve never picked one of my own team’s games and I won’t start now. The Saints have a great pass rush, and the Seahawks O-Line is suspect. Drew Brees is phenomenal. As Tony Dungy says, it’s always more difficult for the team who won the last game in a matchup against the same team…as much as I’m looking forward to Seahawks football, I’m not excited about the stress it’s going to cause me (today).
Eric: My hunch is the Seahawks are going to blow it at some point, but I'm not sure it will be today. The weather is horrible, with rain and cold, neither of which help the Saints, last week's win notwithstanding. Seahawks are the pick.
