As with our Wild Card and Divisional Playoff threads, we'll have fans of a couple of the other participating teams joining us with their picks and thoughts on each game. Here with me today is Broncos fan Jonathan (The_Real_Stoney) and 49ers fan Michael G (Michael_G) - please join me in welcoming our guests!

Jonathan (The_Real_Stoney) - The battle of the mash units comes to a head in the matchup most people wanted to see. The last game between these two teams was so weird in many ways. It's supposed to be 60 degrees without the winds that were prevalent last week so the Peyton in the cold narrative is moot. The Broncos loss of Chris Harris hurts an already fragile secondary and could be big since the Pats won't be able to run like they did last week. This one will mirror the Broncos-Chargers game in many ways and the Broncos hold on to win. Bronco 27 - Patriots 24
Michael G - Manning and Brady in a shootout. Manning comes out victorious with a TD pass to Wes Welker with seconds remaining. Denver 31 - New England 27
Jess - Short of flipping a coin, I'm not sure how exactly to pick this one. Part of me wishes everyone would just shut up about Manning choking in January. The other part of me still really dislikes the Broncos from years past and I still can't stand Elway. Neither of those parts is really the logical one though, and logic says not to bet against Brady in the post season no matter how badly the team started out, or how "old" he's getting. I'm not going to get fancy and pick a score like my cohorts up there, but I'll say Patriots take this one...but not by much.

Jess - I'm useless here, because I won't pick. Even thinking about this game gives me acid reflux. The problem is, that's true of pretty much any game involving my guys, and now that the game actually means something, it's just amplified. Harvin's out, but KJ is in...I'm good with that. Stopping Gore will be a big task, as the Hawks have had a rough time stopping the run as of late. Last week they started to let Brees get into a rhythm toward the end of the game as well, which was rather scary. The offense has really got to play better than they've played over the course of the past few weeks, whether it's creating lanes for Lynch or Russell Wilson stepping up in a game of this magnitude. Woooo-sahhh.
Jonathan (The_Real_Stoney) - I've gone back and forth on this one all week. Seattle at home is a gnarly animal, but they don't seem as invincible as they did a month ago. The 49ers have been as hot as any team for the last 2 months. I really don't like either team's offense right now even more so against these defenses. Hmmm...Ok, I will go with my original gut decision and say the 49ers eek one out thanks to a big day from Frank Gore. 49ers 20 - Seahawks 17
