FanIQ Season Two has Begun

0	You mention that your fan rank is based on your submissions about your teams, including comments. So does that mean when I respond and leave a comment on an article that is written about my team that gives me points toward my fan rank? And does the article have to be tagged in a certain way so that it is associated with a given team?

You are correct, Cory. You'll get points but all the content has to be tagged to the right team.

I'm not sure how much I like the new "respect" function.

For example, today I read 65+ articles on the Q. Am I really supposed to try and remember the 10 best comments I saw out of all those articles? I mean, when I read a good comment I want to give them a thumbs up. But with only 10 per day to give out I feel like I have to read all the articles I'm going to read first to make sure that I don't give out my 10 too soon. That is really hard, IMO and my initial reaction is I don't like it.

1	The limit for respect is so that people actually give kudos to the best quality stuff instead of just thumbing every single comment certain members make because of popularity.

The way I see it the new respect thing has it's good side, i.e. people aren't just throwing around thumbs up. But the downside is that it is a bit like being a gymnastics or diving or ice skating judge. You never give a "10" to the first competitor, because if you do you might see something better later.

So when I read a comment I think is good early on in the day, I'm hesitant to give respect because I might see something better that really deserves a respect. And no, I'm not going to write it down or otherwise remember to come back and give respect the following day when I've got more to give. So it's making me kind of mental at this point.

2	Yeah, I'm not crazy about the 10 run rule myself. But I am one of the people who give out when I think they are deserving. I do think 10 is pretty limiting. 20 might be a better number for the people who are on here more than an hour.

The money does go towards paying the salaries of all the people who work at FanIQ. We hope that Q Bucks is a better way to generate revenue than plastering the site with ads! Thanks for all your support.

as a veteran member of the Q i have seen a lot of changes to the site....i have gotten used to them and continued to enjoy coming here each day. The second season is the biggest and so far the worst in my opinion, the problems that have been ongoing are still here ( getting the dreaded white screen on trivia) and have been for months. Now the site is slower than it has ever been.....

Since much of the site is user driven may i suggest a "user panel" that could provide input into future changes? I realize that "we" do not own nor control the site but as most of the comments so far suggest sometimes newer is not always better......

While we're at it I might as well inform you of 3 other changes we HAD to make to your contract.
#1. NO... You will not be guaranteed 500 free courtside tickets for all road games to give away to your WE LOVE JANET ~~stalkers~~ fanclub. The new league CoC does not permit the type of cheers that seems to always emminate from that group of ~~jerks~~ individuals.
#2. You will NOT be allowed to refer to me, the Coach, as Freakin George Bush Wannabe or Damn Rush Limbaugh Hiney Kisser when I decide to remove you from the game. It does not accurately describe my beliefs or coaching style ... not to mention its just bad for TEAM moral.

That is so sweet of you, seal! You just warmed my troubled heart of what became of my favorite web site. Feeling discouraged! Used to enjoy my first cup of coffee and start my day playing quizzes....teasing a few guys to try to catch up to me, and take off like nascar racer to make my daily miles around the track of FanIQ. Actually many of them gave up on me. I just happened to have more fuel in my gas tank. LOL!

Not anymore, I just ran out of fuel to continue to race at this time. All my tires are all worn out flat! I don't have get up and go! Exhausted to play! I don't know if I can handle my weekends! Thanks! Seal for brightening my evening! I will be generous and give you my respect because you are essential part of my life on FanIQ! And love you for that!

This darn place wont even let me finnish what is on my mind like it has esp or something.....i have tried to play that fantasy game or whatever its called.it wont even let me choose whether its football or basketball i would like to start with. and nothing else works on that part of this site that i once loved dearly, so glad i took my blood pressure meds this morning cause i will need them today......and with only 10 respect either we are now a speed reader with a photograpic memory those 10 repects are going to collect dust iam afraid.....tried to get into the quizzes and it sent me to the fantasy game........it a elevator gone crazy i tell you.........cant find my friends oh my what am i to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think i need a tutor can i buy one of them with the qbucks i have???????? i had looked forward to the new Q but i think i want the old one back but i will give it a month by then the hair will have grown back and the uncontroled shaking from my nervous tick will have calm down some and maybe i will have learned how to get into the fanatsy game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
