I see that your uncle has restored a couple of cars owned by drag racer Jack Chrisman. Did you have any hand in helping with the restoration?  I bet that was fun to watch them come back to life.
Didn't have even a finger in helping restore the Comets..Moved to NM from NJ in 78 and all our family was left behind...but my uncle would take the Comets to car shows all over the US and would always find a way to get out to NM to visit and give us a first hand look!

Sports

Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Ricky Henderson and Don Mattingly

Some of us have a specific moment as a kid that turns us into sports fans. Did you? What was yours?
No real specific moment,my dad was a huge wrestling fan, and I'll never forget sitting around the living room on Sundays watching the likes of Andre the Giant,Rick Flair,The Von Erichs,Hulk Hogan etc...the rest all grew from that!

If you had your choice to attend any sporting event, anywhere, what would it be?
World Series in NYC!!

Many sports fans have a moment in their teams career that makes them proud to be a fan.  Is there a moment like this for you?  if so which moment?
1993,Cowboys at Giants, final game of the season..Emmitt Smith carrying that team with his separated shoulder..to this day I haven't seen another Cowboy play with the heart that Smith did!

As a follow-up, there are also moments that your team has let you down, do you have any moments like this?  if so what?
I REALLY REALLY hate this question....because it brings back the nightmare of the 2004 MLB Postseason....Leading Boston 3-0...the the COLLAPSE...that's a let down that will go to the grave with me...still haven't gotten over that, and the kids at school didn't let me off the hook for quite awhile either! When  i got to work the "morning after" there were  personal notes stuck all over my office door...BOSTON WINS!! or YANKEES LOSE..THAAAAAA YANKEES LOSE....and these were 4th and 5th graders...LOL...and my friends had a great time also by completely covering my car with the sports pages from every city you could think of.....

I'm just glad your let down moment is remembering the yankees choking.

Choking is an understatement my man.....and had it been any other team, it was have been as much of a let down....but boston fans deserved that year....and the fashion that they pulled it off in, was incredible......hopefully i wont have to go through it again this year...cuz this 6 game is gonna come down to the wire...and CRAZY things happen when the sox and yanks get together!!!!

I have to confess, if someone had asked me what I though Sean did for a living, I would have guessed something in sports.  Redirecting kids would be the furthest from my mind, but truthfully I bow to you for your dedication.  I've worked in a school where 90% of the kids needed re-directing.  It was challenging, but rewarding and I'm sure yours is the same.
Great to meet you!

I never thought id be doin this either...funny where the road leads when you least expect it...when this job was offered to me, believe it or not...my car was actually packed up and i was gonna be heading to tennessee to work with my uncle learning his trade....funny car restoration....but the night before i was leaving...i had a wisdom tooth blow up on me.....and had to wait a few days....then during those few days...is when i got the call for the job....it must have been meant to be!!!!

Great article, and thanks for answering what a Behavior Re-Director is. If I went to your school we would probably be spending a large amount of time together.

Trust me...if there were such a thing as Redirectors when i was in school, i would have been a constant customer...as it was i was in the office with the principal more times than i would like to admit....but that comes with the territory when your at a catholic school....i was quite the troublemaker!!!! lol

Nice write up! I don't know what your job entails but I could only imagine it's very much appreciated by the other teachers.

The job pulls kids that are being a distraction out of the room for a "refocus" period...gives the kids AND the teachers time to settle and classroom teaching does not get interrupted....i have a great time with the kiddos...love the recess...feel like im back in elementary myself....keeps me feelin young!!! lol

"Behavior Re-director"? What is that - did the nuns outsource the ruler-on-the knuckles?

Cool stuff Sean. But what was the bold prediction you made? That question must have been edited out.

The bold prediction i made was Yanks beat Phillies in WS!! My fingers are crossed! Id like to see Jeet get one more ring before hes done!
