Describe for us your idea of a perfect day…
Sleeping in bed all day and being catered to would be a dream come true- I don’t like being an ADULT

How did you get so big into basketball?
Harlem Globetrotter Pablo Robinson lived on my street and we all wanted to be in the NBA or a Globetrotter

What’s your most cherished sports memory?
As a sophomore winning NYS PSAL Championship in 1977 and being in the rafters back in the early 70’s watching game7 Celtics vs Knicks 30T’s. Clyde Frazier and JoJo White put on a clinic to never be forgotten

Rumor has it you grew up in a very sports-rich area and may have met – and even played against – some players we’ve heard of. Care to share?
I know JSWOL is going to question this but there’s quite a few especially growing up in Harlem, Bronx & Brooklyn. The one’s that made the NBA are- - Ed Pickney, Rod Strickland, Walter Berry, Reggie Williams, Sam Cassell, Tyrone Bogues, Cliff Branch- those guys were in my age group. There’s a even longer list that played DIV 1 NCAA

Everybody who loves sports has a sports-job related dream. What’s yours?
Other than actually playing in the NBA- being a ref would be super cool!

What’s your favorite type of sporting event to attend, and what about it makes it your favorite?
Now you know this is a no-brainer! Basketball - Not only am I a fan, I am a player but because of my height (5’5) I have a disadvantage because it’s a tall man’s game and I love making people double take when they do notice my talent. I will always believe ‘Short guys have all the fun'

Which type of sporting event that you have yet to attend would you most like to?
I have never actually been to a NFL game. RIP- My dad had tickets for a Jet game back in 79 but I couldn’t attend because I was in the hospital recovering from tearing my knee up.

What are your thoughts on the current NBA mess? Do you think they’ll figure things out before they lose an entire season?
I think the NBA is cutting their nose off to spite their face. If the players all stick together and play overseas and unite their salaries, the NBA is in big trouble. No one is going to pay the ticket prices today especially in NY to watch D-League players. I think Kobe Bryant is really on a mission to break the owner’s stronghold. Me myself I would tell D Fish- think about starting a new league- CORP greed is rampant and there will be no federal bail out here. When all the new talent starts going overseas the owners will smell the coffee. That’s how the ABA got started back in the old days.

What will you do for entertainment to fill the void if there is no NBA season this year?
That’s a question I’m hoping doesn’t come true but I see myself being on the Q at night to fill that void or reading a lot more to take up that time, besides I am the ultimate band wagoner- I cant watch scrubs!

Besides the Locker Room, where do you most like to spend your time on FanIQ?
I like taking the quizzes and the trivia questions– that’s what grew on me here other than my sister inviting me in her then vanishing (SkyTaylor09)

Have you made any good friends on the site?
None that I have ever met or talk to personally but everyone here is cool, in time I am sure it will happen. I was all for the Vegas trip last year but it didn’t pan out- no biggie. But I will attend a Q picnic if there ever is one- I definitely have to get JSWOL on the court, even if it kills me – just j/k

Have you ever made a bold prediction on the site that you regretted?
LOL- oh yeah Raiders vs Jets week 3- we all know the outcome of that – GO RAIDERS!!!!

Speaking of bold predictions…Who’s going to be in the World Series, and which team will win it all?
Yankees vs Cardinals - - - - Yanks in 5. They may even sweep if they keep A-Fraud on the bench

Thank you so much for sitting down with us, Lainey! I enjoyed learning more about you. Good luck on the NBA thing - I know what it's like to lose a full season of a fave sport to lockout, and it sucks. Hopefully you don't have to go through that.

If you have anyone you'd like to see in the Spotlight, please send me a message.

I hope you're right, but unless the new CBA includes a hard cap, I don't see how Orlando will be able to keep him.

Might want to rethink that one.  Once Howard leaves, which is pretty much inevitable, the Magic will be a mediocre at best squad.

I do like Arenas, though.  anyone that uses their first NBA paycheck to purchase sharks ic cool in my book.

Question.  When the NBA finally starts back up, presumably in 2012, who will you root for?  The average age of the over the hill C's will be around 175.  That means they'll no longer be a contender.

No room on the Bulls bandwagon, btw.

That's cool.  At least I stick with my hometown team.  I don't need to jump on any bandwagons to provide smack talk.

Was just listening to sports radio and it's not looking good for the NBA.  This really sucks.  Hopefully something can be worked out because I really want to see my Bulls beat up on the Celtics.

Per usual, great work by both parties involved.

Alain, I would never question the bball talent in NYC.  Our little debates are all in good fun my man.  I bet those one-on-one games with Muggsy were the sh*t.  You know, because you're both short, lol.  J/K bro.  If we ever have a Q picnic, we'll be captains.  I'll even give you first pick.

By the way, hope your Yankees come back and win.  I may have something riding on them.  ....and it's certainly not looking good....
