Since they can't seem to be able to set up a fight between the two of them, two of the biggest badasses on the planet are taking it to the box office. Affliction fighter and WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko has started filming a Russian action film, and former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Randy Couture is also set to appear in an action film soon.
Fedor's film will be in Russian, so I don't expect to be able to understand much, except for the part where Fedor Emelianenko is the biggest badass ever, and will destroy anyone who gets in his way. We all know he COULD do it with his bare hands, but they're giving him weapons, so that just makes it more fun. Check out pictures on his website, or just scroll down for the best ones. It looks like a typical military movie, so the language barrier probably won't stop this one from being entertaining. Who needs to know what they say, when the most important part is the fact that they're blowing stuff up anyway? Plots are overrated.Couture, not to be outdone, will also act in an action movie. He has already starred in Scorpion King 2, and also was featured in a video game alongside female MMA superstar Gina Carano.
His newest movie is called The Expendables, and looks like it will have the greatest cast ever for an action flick. Seriously. This movie is so badass that if Chuck Norris made a cameo, he would tame it down. Check out the cast list so far on IMDB. Besides Couture, it will also have Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren. Forrest Whitaker may end up in the film as well. As HungLoDojo pointed out:
"basically, It’s Couture, Rocky, Ivan Drago from Rocky IV, The Villain from Lethal Weapon IV, and the guy from the Transporter series all sharing the same screen in an attempt to overthrow The Last King of Scotland. Throw in some fine broads and some explosions, and you easily have the manliest film ever created."
Who wins the movie matchup between 2 of the best heavyweight fighters in the world? It's close. Although Fedor himself is a more intimidating and badass individual, the cast of Couture's new movie is almost unstoppable. Key word: almost. While Ivan Drago and Rocky are some crazy dudes, the fact remains that Fedor could line them all up in a row and destroy each of them. With his bare hands. And as you can see, they're giving him rocket launchers. Based on that alone, Fedor wins.
