Chelsea forward Fernando Torres insists he won’t have any issues with the arrival of another striker at Stamford Bridge. The Spaniard understands he will have to fight for his position at Chelsea if he wants to continue playing in the first-team.

Presently, Chelsea are considering signing Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao or Napoli forward Edinson Cavani. Both players have been linked with big-money moves to Chelsea in recent months.

Meanwhile, the £50 million striker from Liverpool, Fernando Torres admits he could find it hard to feature in the first-team if a new striker is signed in by Chelsea. The 29-year-old has been in and out of the first-team ever since he moved to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool.

Fernando Torres’ turbulent form has forced Chelsea to seek other attacking options in the market. The London club has been closely associated with a transfer deal for Radamel Falcao for over a year now.

“Since I came we have only signed top players, so it would not be a surprise if we signed Falcao,” Fernando Torres told reporters in Switzerland before Chelsea head out for their Europa League semifinal clash with FC Basel.

“When you play for Chelsea, you're always hoping big players come and the big names are always being linked with the club. You cannot stop that. Every player is welcome at Chelsea, every top player.

“For me, I know I want to stay. If they change their minds it's a different question, but the relationship between me and the club is very straight. It's not a problem at all.”

Fernando Torres admits his performance at Chelsea has not met the expectations of the club, but he is steadfast on proving his critics wrong.

“I have still not been at the level I want to be,” Fernando Torres confessed. “Hopefully the Chelsea fans have not seen the best of me at the club. I hope there's more to come. I really think this club has told me the truth. They have hopes for me and they trust me.

“I'm still young. I want to win many things for this club. We've won the Champions League and could win the Europa League this season, but we can win much more, do great things.

“When you see Manchester United's players celebrating, you can see how important the Premier League trophy is, and I want to bring it to Chelsea. I don't think we have to add too much. We have to believe in ourselves and believe we can win (the title) next season.”

Rumors suggest a swap deal between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid for Fernando Torres and Radamel Falcao might occur this summer.
