Read most of the comments here. It was VERY loud and emotional inside Ford Field. Outside was the most awesome sights. The people of Detroit and the entire state of Michigan are going over and beyond to make this a once in a lifetime experience. I don't think I've ever seen this kind of unity here. It's truly quite unique. I've attended a few Final Fours in my life but this is something I'll never forget.
The one thing that still resounds with me personally is when the UConn team came back in to the arena. I'm still touched by how classy a group of young men they are.
If you didn't see me...I was the one screaming and crying 6 rows up from where Magic and Cookie (his wife) were sitting. Honestly, think of how you all feel about "YOUR" team...it's very emotional for me.

Just glad UConn is out now, didn't want Calhoun getting basketball sainthood by winning a 3rd title and remaining undefeated in the Final Four. But I'm glad MSU won, I dig Izzo.

Michigan State and Villanova would be an incredibly exciting game and MSU and UNC has an excellent story line.  We, the fans, win either way.

The only problem that could arise with that is that UCONN could say that they have no other center, but it'd be a decent compromise.

Hearing the "Go Green/Go White" reminds me of the Ferris State hockey games (MSU is in the same conference) where we used "Can't Read, Or Write"

Thats a timely injury.  The NCAA needs to fix this rule.  If Thabeet goes out, Michigan State should get to pick who goes in, not UCONN.

Agreed, I think he's better as an analyst than a commentator. But I didn't think Billy Packer was as horrible as most other people. Yeah, he wasn't great but its not like he was John Madden or anything.

 My worst NCAA nightmare coming into the tourney was a UCONN/NC final, go STATE and NOVA!!!

Some great shooting on the outside and midrange for MSU. UConn looks too good on the inside on both sides of the court right now though.

I'm not surprised that MSU has more fouls called on them because UCONN has one of the best foul and free throw differentials in the nation.  However, it shouldn't be 6:1 right now.  UCONN has been allowed to leave their feet without punishment, yet MSU is getting some tightly called fouls against them.

I'm a little disappointed in the refs for not punishing UCONN for leaving their feet.  A couple of missed fouls early.

I'm as diehard a Michigan Wolverine fan as it gets...and yet i will root for the MSU Spartans, the City of Detroit, and my homestate of Michigan. The State of sports in the "Wolverine State", the "Winter Wonderland, and of course, the Motor City is just fine.

Detroit takes alot of shots for the rest of the country, some of it deserved. However, the play of our athletes and teams is a point of pride for the City of Detroit, and the State of Michigan...The Spartans, Wolverines..Grand Valley State, Western Michigan, Lake Superior State...the Red Wings, Pistons, Tigers, and yes, even the forlorn Detroit Lions. Good Luck to Coach Izzo ans MSU...from a Wolverine.

I think this will be a good one.  Izzo is on top of his game right now and had a week to draw up a gameplan.  If UCONN allows Suton to drag Thabeet away from the hoop, the Spartans will take this.
