Florida State Grabs Third WR Prospect for Class of 2014
Worton wasted no time with his decision: The Florida native was offered by the Seminoles just two days prior to the commitment.
"I just talked to Coach Fisher and talked about how much they wanted me there," said Worton, according to Rivals. "I had been at both of their camps in June and July, so I thought it was time to commit and be a part of the family," said Worton.
At just 6'0", 170 pounds, Worton will need to continue working in the weight room to add weight and strength to his below-average frame. This should be no problem, however, as an upcoming junior in high school.
Worton already does a nice job finding space as a route runner and creating separation from his defenders. He also possesses the type of charisma and leadership skills any coach would want on his team.
Although Ole Miss was the only other school to offer a scholarship, Worton is considered one of the better prospects in the state of Florida for the class of 2014. Expect many more schools to get involved now that he's a member of a high-profile team.
