Footage of Michael Jordan schooling O.J. Mayo
Never one to shy away from national headlines, Michael Jordan, not only said that he could beat LeBron James and Kobe Bryant one-on-one, but he also shared a story about how he schooled the best high school basketball player at the time – O.J. Mayo – at one of his camps. Keep in mind, this was in 2006 when MJ was a few years removed from the league, while Mayo was an up and coming budding star.
From Mayo’s vantage point, he said, “I kind of had the mentality that I had everything to gain and nothing to lose. And Mike did what he had to do." We all would love to know what would happen if we could retroactively put Jordan from his prime into today's game, but this is one of those debates that will have to be won in the living rooms and sports bars across America.
