About Me:
Born and raised in Delaware. Somehow, I've ended up in South Carolina. Life-long Phillies fan. In my "spare time" I work at THE USC for football and basketball games . (University of South Carolina for those who are west coast biased.) GO GAMECOCKS!

In light of the shocking recent news that Brett Favre is itching to come back to the NFL, I present to you for more athletes that should consider making a comeback to competitive athletics. Aferall, what's good for the Favre has to be good for everyone else. Right?

Let's face it. Coaching hasn't really been working out so well for the Great One. He's no spring chicken, but I think he could get at least 100 points just standing next to Alexander Ovechkin. Of course, he may want to use some of his bank roll to hire one or two of these guys if he's coming back. It couldn't hurt.

Mark McGwire
OK. Hear me out on this one. Yeah, it's never going to happen. But why not? With the state of pitching in today's game, he could easily hit 20 home runs. Even before he got "buff", the man could hit home runs. Of course, I don't know why he'd want to come back, although he does apparently have a desire to reconnect with the game. The obvious question is, will he ever be ready to answer those lingering questions?

Morten Anderson
Man, this guy could kick. With so many teams needing helping with special teams, I'm sure he could find a meaningful place in the NFL. Oh....he played in 2007? Wha?!?!? This dude is older than dirt. Well, since he played for Atlanta last year, perhaps he could still find a meaningful place somewhere.
Gheorghe Muresan
OK, I don't really think this dude should come back. But it would be fun. Watching him go against Tim Duncan or Dwight Howard would almost encourage me to turn on an NBA game or two. If nothing else, it might revive Billy Crystal's film-making career. Everyone needs a muse - perpahs big Gheorghe is Billy's.
Is there anyone else I forgot to add? Let 'em fly.
