I understand that Jones-Drew wants to sign a big deal now rather than when he is nearly 30-years old, but if that's what he wanted he shouldn't have signed a 5 year deal when he was 24.Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com has reported that the Jaguars' front office has given "no consideration at all" to Maurice jones-Drew's request of a new contract. They are just going to sit back and hope that MJD reports in the next few weeks. However, it looks like Jones-Drew's stance is strong, and if the Jaguars want even an outside chance of making the playoffs this year, they can't let him holdout into the season.
If MJD does holdout into the season, Rashad Jennings will be a viable option in fantasy leagues.
This could very well end up being one of those annoying situations that plays out well into the summer, and possibly the season, so stay tuned.
