Alongside them on the main card we have Dan Henderson taking on Lyoto Machida, Ivan Menjivar fighting Urijah Faber, plus Josh Koscheck and Robbie Lawler to round out the main card of the event.
Kountermove.com a fantasy mixed martial arts (MMA) site has set up a $100 free game for FanIQ members for this historic event. There are only 100 openings available and it is first come come serve for the freeroll.
Here is my team:
1) Ronda Rousey (Salary $6,000): She does not just submit her foes she breaks their arms and wears them home with her. Every professional fight has ended in the first round with her arm being raised. 100 point bonus almost guaranteed - She's expensive but worth it!
2) Loyoto Machida (Salary $5,300): Dan is getting old Machida does not get taken down easy. Machida will pick apart Henderson in route to an easy win.
3) Carlos Fedor (Salary $4,600): His brother is none other than the Seattle RLSH (prounounced “rilsh”, or “real life superhero”) Phoenix Jones...nuff said
4) Brock Jardine (Salary $4,900): Hard Hitting Jardine could make it an early night for UFC newcomer Robertson.
5) Ivan Menjivar (Salary $3,900): I don't think he is going to win but I have run out of cash...however he is a grizzled vet and should stick around until the end and rack up some points in the process.

Like most great games it is easy learn but is difficult to master. The following will help get you up to speed quickly:
Submissions and KO’s are King! A first-round win (by knockout, submission, DQ, or other) earns you 100 points. A second-round win earns 75 points, and third, fourth, or fifth-round wins earn 50 points. Therefore guys that are likely to get a first round win will likely get the most points. Fighters with good power punching or high level submission skills are more likely to get early finishes than grinders who tend to take it to decisions.
Smaller is sometimes better: Smaller fighters throw more strikes, attempt more takedowns and submissions. Therefore smaller fighters will accumulate more points throughout a fight.
An Iron-Jaw looser is key! Typically the last couple of fighters are made with salary constraints in mind. Even though a fighter is likely to lose you still want to pick losing fighters that will likely score you points. A fighter that can take punishment and still deliver strikes and takedowns can get you the valuable points that will put you over the top.
