From The Armchair: Oakland Raiders Week 6
This game however, was a battle of the defenses to start with. It seemed like we couldn’t do anything on offense. Our defense held their own against the Chiefs offense. Then on a 66 yard drive, Terrelle Pryor throws to Denarius Moore on a slant route and Moore takes it in for a TD. Things were looking really good at that point. But then later in the second quarter KC ties it.
From there it just went downhill. The crowd was loud, and they were part of the reason that we lost. Pryor was sacked 10 times, and at one point I think with penalties and sacks we were near our own end zone facing a 3rd and 246. Okay maybe not 246 but it felt like it.
I have to give credit to our punter Marquette King, he punts as well as Lechler did. It makes me not miss Lechler so much, plus I like the way King sways back and forth before he punts. It’s kind of cute.
Lastly, if I could say one thing to Terrelle Pryor, it would be “get rid of the ball.” Seriously you aren’t going to be able to maneuver your way out of all possible sack situations, just throw it out of bounds. Don’t throw it across the field if you can’t see your receivers, and definitely don’t take the sack. I get that he is young and is learning, but I felt that he regressed in the 2nd half. I still think that he is definitely our future franchise QB.
Final Score 24-7 KC
With all that being said, I am grateful we have a bye next week! Happy Football everyone!
