From the Armchair: Chicago Bears, Week 13
Players of the Game
Minnesota - A.Peterson (35 / 211 yds)
Chicago - A.Jeffery (12 / 249 yds, 2 TD's)
I am tooooooo pissed to write this article. Our Defense couldn't tackle a one-legged Turtle and our Coach is making decisions as if he's NEVER done this before. Hell, even Atlanta won!
Up 20-10 with 8 minutes left and we end up going into Overtime?!?! What?!?!
We even picked off a pass at our own 1 yd line and ran it back to mid-field with a chance to ice the game with 4:38 left in the game.
Oh, and finally, there's the fact that Minnesota was 4th and 11 from their own 9 yd line, with less than 2 minutes left and not only do they get a 20 yd completion and a 1st down, but end up driving down the field for the FG to send it to OT!
What really gets me is the fact that, in Overtime, we are moving down the field and we are at the Minnesota 29 yd line. It's 2nd down and 7 and Trestman goes for a farking FG! WHAT?!?!?!?
Run the ball, you idiot! Get closer, or better yet, score a TD! I don't care who our FG Kicker is, and Robbie Gould is one of the best in the game, you don't kick a FG on 2nd down from 47 yds out…..you get closer! And, his comment was that he was afraid that we might get a penalty and move us out of FG range……WHAT?!?!? You can't be afraid to coach! You have a powerful offense! You coach to win, you don't coach to try and not lose! IDIOT! IDIOT! IDIOT! (Sorry, Jess, for the caps, but, I'm soooooo futhamucking pissed!)
PS - Congrats to A.Peterson for going over 10,000 rushing yards in his career.
