From the Armchair: DA BEARS - week 5

FINAL SCORE:
(5-0) NEW ORLEANS 26

(3-2) CHICAGO (3-2) 18

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Alshon Jeffery (10 / 218 yds 1 TD)

Sigh.......I think most of us thought that this would be a shoot out. I, for one, did not think that New Orleans defense would look as good as they did.  It took until the 3rd Qtr before the Bears started to get, somewhat, consistent with their offense.

Meanwhile, TE Jimmy Graham tied the NFL record, for TE's, with his 4th consecutive game with over 100 yds receiving, tying Tony Gonzalez when Tony was with KC (2000 season).

WR Alshon Jeffery lead the Bears with 10 catches for 218 yds and 1 TD.  The Bears offense better find some consistency, quickly!  Meanwhile, Brandon Marshall was held in check (4 / 30 yds) and the Bears defense DID NOT cause a turnover.

This game was a lot closer than the score reflected for most of the game.
