From the Armchair: Miami Dolphins, Week 2
I promise to save the Luck puns, announcer Dan Fouts made enough name game jokes to last me a lifetime.
In a pretty evenly matched game, the Dolphins prevailed with a much stronger defense in key moments than did their opponents. Although, the early and possible season ending injury to Indy guard Donald Thomas surely played a major roll in the success of the Dolphins offense.
Ryan Tannehill threw for 319 yards and 1 touchdown to $$$ Wallace. He was also sacked 5 times and gave up a fumble, just highlighted the weak area of our offensive line. Lamar Miller ran for 69 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown. Charles Clay (who you say) had five catches for 109 yards and one rushing touchdown, which turned out to be the game winner on a contested play which was proved inconclusive.
Miami defense pass rush forced Andrew Luck into 3 straight incompletions to end their chances in the fourth quarter.
He ended the day with 321 yards and 1 TD. A series of unfortunate events for the Colts and great heart by the on the road Dolphins leaves Colts fans scratching their heads and we Dolphins fans smiling on a Monday.
