From the Armchair: Oakland Raiders Week 11

So the rookie undrafted free agent Matt McGloin in his first NFL game threw three touchdown passes, as the Raiders beat the Texans 28-23.

The first touchdown pass was a 5 yard pass to Denarius Moore.  Later in the first quarter Nick Roach intercepted a pass, for Oakland. Right after McGloin threw a 16 yard touchdown pass to Rod Streater. We didn’t score again until the 3rd quarter, when McGloin threw a 26 yard pass up the middle to Mychal Rivera.  The last and to me the most impressive score was when Rashad Jennings, took the snap from the wildcat formation and ran for an 80 yard touchdown.

Our Defense played amazing and held the Texans to 3 points in the red zone more than once.  It was good to see them playing so well again after the last couple of games.

Rashad Jennings had an amazing game, filling in for the injured Darren McFadden. Makes me kind of wonder if perhaps DMC may have lost the starting position? Same as with Pryor, did McGloin play well enough to be the starter? Or, was it just a one-time thing? If I were making the decision I would stick with Pryor once he is healthy, they need to give him a chance and let him play out the season.  Only time will tell what happens, for now I am just happy that we finally got a road win.

Next up, we host the Titans. I am hoping for a win!!
