From the Armchair: Oakland Raiders Week 2
Good Stuff: Marcel Reese scored a rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Darren McFadden rushed 19 times for 129 yards, his longest of the day was 30 yards. The defense sacked Chad Henne five times. Sebastian Janikowski scored 13 of the 19 points. The absolute best was watching Charles Woodson fly over 2 players to tackle Maurice Jones Drew and stop him from scoring a TD. Pryor was starting to play more like a QB, checking down for the open receivers.
Bad Stuff: Sebastian Janikowski scored 13 of the 19 points. The Raiders need to find a way to get into the end zone. The kicker being the highest scoring player is not going to win you very many games. Denarius Moore needs to catch the ball, he needs to be consistent.
Overall: The Raiders still have a way to go, but I must say I like that they are at least trying. I haven’t seen them play with heart for some time and it feels good. Maybe they are playing with a chip on their shoulder because so many people count them out, whatever it may be, I am enjoying it! I hope they can win some more. Next up is MNF in Denver. I know this will be a tough game for them, I don’t have super high expectations, and Denver is playing very good right now. I can only hope for the best.
