The game also featured 16 penalties (11 by the 49ers) and one very huge "Ooops" by the Officiating Team. After a third-and-6 play at the Green Bay 10-yard line in the second quarter, Kaepernick was hit late out of bounds by Packer
Because the penalties came after the play ended and Kaepernick stepped out of bounds without gaining a firstdown it should have been 4th and 2 at the Green Bay six yard line which would have forced San Francisco to kick a field goal.. However, game officials ruled the play dead with off-setting penalties and gave the 49ers another third-and-6 play at the Green Bay ten yard line. They scored a touchdown on the very next play as Kaepernick found Bolldin in the endzone giving the 49ers a 14-7 lead at the time.
The 49ers found themselves down 28-24 midway through the 4th quarter as Kaepernick executed an 80 yard 5 play drive capped by Frank Gore's 1 yard TD run to take the lead for good with 5:47 left in the game. Phil Dawson added a late field goal to finish the scoring and the Niners held off the Packers 34-28 in a wildly entertaining game. Aaron Rodgers threw for 333 yards a 3 TD's in a losing effort. Next up: The Niners head north to Seattle to face the insanely overrated Seahawks. (who slithered out of Carolina after barely escaping with a 12-7 victory over the Panthers)
This just in: 49er QB Colin Kaepernick and Seahawk QB Russell Wilson have placed a bet on next Sunday night's game. Are you ready for this??? The loser must shave off one of his eyebrows
