From the Armchair: San Francisco 49ers: Week 12
Washington Redskins, although the score was 27-6 it wasn't even that close. Kaepernick was 15 for 24 for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns, Anquan Boldin had 2 TD's and of course Vernon Davis had the other. The good news in the receiving department was that Mario Manningham got in on the action with 4 receptions of his own and with Michael Crabtree being activated this weekend this offense is gonna start waking up in a big way.
The 49er defense was it's usual beastly self Monday night allowing only 2 field goals and 227 total yards to a struggling Redskin offense. RG3 was sacked 4 times and threw an interception in a lackluster performance that has the folks in D.C calling for the back-up to see some action. I would have to agree as this guy hasn't been the same since the end of last season and his reckless abandon style is gonna cut his career short as he already looks like he's been taking way to many shots, but that's another story. This was a much needed victory by a 49er team that had lost 2 straight and is looking up not only in their division standings but also in the playoff chase as the NFC is gonna be a nail biter this year when it comes to wild-card seeds which is what the 49ers are looking at now.
This week brings a tough St. Louis Ram team to Candlestick Park in what could also be callled a must-win. At this stage in the year every game is a must.
