From the Armchair: San Francisco 49ers, Week 2
I really wasn't surprised to witness what happened in Seattle this Sunday evening. Week 2 on My 49ers Calendar was the toughest game on this seasons schedule. ..........Seems I was right. The Seahawks secondary blanketed a depleted 49er receiving corp, holding Anquan Boldin to 1 reception for 7 yards. The 49ers had only 100 rushing yards...and get this...87 by Colin Kaepernick.
The 49ers never got out of the gates after an impressive drive in the 1st quarter ended with a deflected pass in the endzone turned into a Seahawk interception.
There were 22 penalties totaling 205 yards (Niners had 12 for 121 yds) (Seahawks had 10 for 84)
The 49ers had 207 net yards
The Seahawks had 290 net yards
The Seahawks managed 29 points
The 49ers managed 3
Kaepernick looked lost for quite awhile and the 49ers could not establish any type offense. The Seahawks managed to get a ground game going and eventually pulled away in the 4th quarter. That's ok Seattle,
See you in San Francisco December 8th, Bitch!
