From the Armchair: Steelers Week 6 vs. Jets
Took till week 6 for the Pittsburgh Steelers to get their first win of the season, 19-6 over the Jets. Steelers offense is still struggling, had this performance been against a team with a vetran QB it too would've been a LOSS. The line went through a few changes this week. Tomlin sat Mike Adam for Levi Brown who was traded for Wednesday, but hurt his tricep during warmups. Kelvin Beachum got the start, while he wasn't stellar by no means, he looked better than Adams (which wouldn't take much). Roethlisberger was sacked 4 times and hurried...who knows, most are his fault anyways, finished 23 of 30 for 264 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT's. Antonio Brown had nine catches for 86 yards, Emmanuel Sanders had 3 catches for 70 yards and 1 TD, and Heath Miller was 6 for 84 yards. Shaun Suisham, the Steelers major offensive contributor this season finished 4/4.
Steelers defense looked the best it has all year. Minus the fact they ZERO takeaways until today that is. Geno Smith was intercepted twice, the second coming on a drive that sure looked like the Jets were going to come away with points on.
Tomlin banned the children from all their games in the clubhouse earlier this week, Bo Sox beer and chicken wings right there. Steelers are right on pace for the 5 win season I called before the season started. Oh yeah, Ash you missed on the Vikings outcome, you should listen to me more.
