From the land of Oak.....comes a landing.

DeAngelo Hall.

Some may remember him, as the guy most likely to tick off part time coaches in the NFL.....has been dealt to Oakland.

It wasn't a bad deal, 7 years, 70 million dollars, and a couple draft picks.

Personally, I would have dealt him for a lot more players and less picks, but that's personal opinion...i'm not the one calling the shots.

The latest on the rumor mill, has a larger cupcake to bite into.

Chad Johnson, going to the Raiders.....for players Schwigert, Rhodes, Fabian Washington, and about 3-4 other players, plus a pick in 2009.

Sound crazy?
Well....this is the Raiders we're talking about. Anything can happen. After all, who can forget when we landed guys like Ronnie Lott, Roger Craig, Tom Rathman, and a few others, in the old Plan B free Agency?

Or Somehow got Rod Woodson to don the Silver and Black?

There's a lot to look forward to, for the Raiders faithful....and lot for the skeptics to work with.

All I can say is.....bring on the draft....and see what other trades go through.

The Raiders actually do look like they could have a pretty good D this upcoming year.  That offense is definitely still bad, and until they fix that o-line, it will remain so.

The O-line had some ok moments, considering they had a 1000 yard rusher for the first time in a number of years. They're going to be developing Russell's ability to throw, and I think it'll help that they are looking at having him, Curry, Walker, and anyone they draft (hint, hint) at WR to all learn on the same page. It'll also help, as soon as anyone knows, if Michael Bush will be ready this season after breaking his leg, or if he'll never be the same.

I'm not crazy about getting McFadden, but as another person would say, Davis likes the flashy player, even if he can't use him. After all, we got Bo Jackson, when we had Marcus Allen....did that make any sense?

Hey, Bo Jackson's still a legend thanks to Tecmo Super Bowl, lol.

The line is getting better, but still is less than stellar.  The receivers are really not that impressive either, and I figure that's where they draft.  They aren't strong at running back either, but they're better off there right now than at receiver or o-line.

Don't remind me of Tecmo....considering all the YouTube Clips.

Granted, there's a lot of other teams with better O-lines. Gallery, for example, went through 3-4 position changes, and coaches, before settling where he did. They might find some extra bodies in the draft, but a lot of it is hit or miss.

There's also a rumor that the Raiders will ditch the 4th pick overall for a nest of picks later....don't know who they could ditch it to, Cowboys maybe, but you think of the Barry Sanders days, he had no line, but could run circles around opponents.

Very few running backs are capable of doing what Barry could.  Most backs struggle with mediocre lines.  Barry Sanders was just a freak.

True. A lot of people wondered, could you imagine if Sanders played for the Cowboys, what that matchup would have looked like?

Remove Emmitt Smith from the equation....no one would touch Barry's Record then.
