Blog Photo - Game On! Live Sports Thread 6/16/13Happy Father's Day everyone, especially all the dads out there. If your Father's Day involves at least in part to sports today, well, there's plenty for everyone. The headliner this evening is the pivotal Game 5 of the NBA Finals. With the series tied at 2, the winner tonight takes a big step towards the title. With a win, the Heat can force the Spurs to win twice in Miami to win the title. We wonder which LeBron will show up: the dominant Game 4 force or the passive Game 3 non-factor? Also, who will have the more embarrassing flop this game: Ginobili or Bosh?

There's also as always the final round of the US Open, where Phil Mickelson continues to lead. More on the Open later today. There's also a full day of baseball, both MLB and the College World Series. We also have the Confederations Cup, NASCAR, drag racing, and more. Here is today's schedule, with my personal picks in bold. As always, times are all eastern and pm unless otherwise noted.

Justin Rose wins the US Open. Phil Mickelson finishes, yep, second. Again.

So all Phil has to do to force a playoff is birdie the hardest hole on the course. Good luck with that.

Rose is in at +1. Barring a miracle from Mickelson or Mahan, he's going to win.

The Phil choke appears to be starting now. Looking good for Justin Rose if he can survive 18.

Three way tie at +1 between Rose, Mickelson, and Mahan, with Day one shot back. There are your four contenders now.

Phil just holed out for eagle on 10! It gets him back to even and puts him one shot ahead of Day, Rose, and Mahan. Everyone else is at least four back. Dufner (who made a triple on 15 he really wants back now) and Els are in the clubhouse at +5.

O's win and take 3 of 4 in the series from Boston. Groovy.

Rose and Mahan are tied for the lead at even par. Day is one back. Mickelson two back after already double bogeying twice.

Fun matchup a few minutes ago: Gerritt Cole vs. Yasiel Puig. Puig won the battle with an infield single, stolen base, and a run scored.

Meanwhile, Steve Stricker and Luke Donald are already taking themselves out of the US Open.

O's now up 5-0. RBI doubles by Machado and Davis.

The leaders have teed off at the Open. Mickelson's tee shot is in the rough.

Chris Davis has done it again, his 23rd homer of the year.
