Blog Photo - Game On! Live Sports Thread 7/20/13Happy Saturday, where unless you live in a high mountain area, you're probably sweltering already. Unfortunately, sports picked a bad day to be mostly quiet. However, we do have baseball back after four long days without a game that meant anything, and we also have the third round of the Open Championship (or British Open for you non-Angelophiles). A certain Tiger Woods is one shot back and teed off just a few minutes ago.

Also on the schedule is the penultimate day of the Tour de France, the start of the knockout rounds of the Gold Cup, and some lesser known racing series, as all the big series are off this week. Also, for those that are champing at the bit* for football, there is CFL and Arena football today.

* Yes, that is the correct saying.

I'm right now watch the Open and the Tour this morning, with baseball in the afternoon. If I can stand the temperatures and the storm threat, I'll be at Nationals Park tonight for the Dodgers-Nats. Q it up all day today with whatever you’re watching.

M's win 4-2. Bedard gets the loss despite not giving up a hit, and the game winning hit by Seattle in the 7th was their only hit. That's my new favorite random game of the year.

Bedard was pulled after 6 1/3 no-hit innings after walking his 5th batter of the night. Astros reliever walks a man, gets another out, then gives up a 2 run double. M's lead 4-2. Bedard right now is the losing pitcher.

Meanwhile, Chris Davis is limping on the basepaths. I will now go get very drunk.

Erik Bedard is no-hitting the Mariners through 6, which is hilarious given the history. He's also given up two runs. Ain't baseball great.

Red Sox Yankees game 0-0 5th...

Westwood and Tiger both par 18. Westwood and Mahan will be final group tomorrow.

Westwood and Tiger were tied, but Westwood birdied 17 while Tiger bogeyed it. Westwood is at -3, 2 up on Tiger and Hunter Mahan (who shot 68). Adam Scott and Stenson are even. Ryan Moore, Angel Cabrera, and Zach Johnson are +1. Mickelson is +2.

There are a group of Expos fans sitting in left field at the Blue Jays game yelling "Let's Go Expos" and other things in French. That's awesome.

Well, Tiger has given a few back, and Lee Westwood has surged to the lead at -4. He's up three on Tiger, Cabrera, Stenson, and Jimenez. Mickelson is still in it at even par.

Tiger now leads the Open alone.
