9/20/13 in MLB   |   Jess   |   35135 respect

Greetings, sports fans and Happy Friday! Today wraps up (or begins, however you want to look at it) another exciting week in sports. Let's take a look at what we have on the slate as soon as we recap the blog (all times eastern, as always.)

Best of the Web Recap:
Blog Photo - Game On! Sports Lineup 9/20/13Last night's Chiefs/Eagles game was a little anticlimactic, but at least Andy Reid got a nice welcome back. You can read about both games via their fan perspectives in the Eagles and Chiefs "From the Armchair" we go again; another player popped for DUI - and this one is in a bit of trouble otherwise as if the Jags need any more bad news going into their game against Seattle this weekend, MJD's status is still unknown.....The Dodgers clinched their division last night, and promptly celebrated by jumping into the Diamondback's swimming pool.....the Red Sox clinched a playoff spot of their own last night.....And last but certainly not least, don't forget to check out this week's Spot the Differences game!

Cardinals bullpen did their best to try and choke away a win in Milwaukee but the rookies wouldn't let it happen.  Cards up by 2 over the Pirates and Reds with 8 games to play

As if the Indians needed any help with their creampuff schedule, their game was called due to rain after 7 and they beat the Astros 2-1.

O's/Rays and Rangers/Royals both tied late.

It took me a minute to realize you were talking about hockey. It reminded me that DC is getting the 2015 Winter Classic, which I'm kinda meh about since it'll be at a meh place like Nationals Park, or worse, FedEx Field. The Mall would be awesome, but logistically impossible.

Jason Hammel starting the first game of the biggest series of the year is already proving to be a mistake. I'm just hoping it isn't a blowout by the time I'm done with Jeopardy.
