Game On! Sports TV Lineup 5/9/13

Will the Wild or Habs survive to play another game? [Live Sports Thread]

5/9/13 in NHL   |   Jess   |   34602 respect

Greetings, sports fans!

We don't have any NBA playoff games tonight, but we do have three sure-to-be-thriller hockey games on the slate. The Minnesota Wild and Montreal Canadiens both face elimination tonight, so if they don't step up their game and win another, they will be joining the Vancouver Canucks as the latest teams to start their offseason activities. Pittsburgh and New York have put on a surprisingly fun series, and in an effort to pull ahead, the Penguins have named Vokoun the starter for Game 5.

We also have the WNBA preseason starting tonight, and the Players Tournament in both men's and ladies' golf. Let's take a look at the lineup for tonight (all times eastern.)

Another day of baseball, more umpiring controversy.

Angels are protesting their game in Houston because the Astros were allowed to make back to back pitching changes without the middle pitcher actually facing a hitter...which is suppose to be a no-no

Tomas Vokoun is now 4-0 against the Isles this year with 2 shutouts and a GAA of 0.69!  I know who I want to see start game 6 on Saturday night.  Finish this team off once and for all, Pens!  Vokoun has baffled the Isles all year, and Nabokov has been awful all series.

Senators are flat out embarrassing the Canadiens.

I love the Wild but think their number is up tonight. It's tough enough to play the Blackhawks, but try doing it with a third string goalie or a banged-up second-stringer. Would love to see them somehow pull out another win, but it would come as a great surprise. Isles/Pens should be interesting. Finally, I hate Les Habs, but think they live to see another game. Le Boo.
