Gareth Bale Hints at Remaining a Tottenham Hotspur
The 23-year-old Wales international has stated that he is preparing to “regroup and give it another go” at Tottenham Hotspur.
It seems Gareth Bale hasn’t taken the heartbreaking denial from Champions League action to heart. The failure to enter the coveted European League hasn’t stopped him from playing for the club where he turned into a world phenomenon.
Real Madrid are being strongly linked with a move for Gareth Bale, however, as the Spanish football giants have been after Bale for a while and seeing that the versatile winger already wishes to play on foreign soil, they are pushing to close in on a deal.
The departure of Jose Mourinho has prompted Real Madrid into creating a huge offer for Gareth Bale. The PFA and Football Writers' Player of the Year, Gareth Bale has already admitted he could move into Real Madrid in the future, although he hasn’t put a date on his exit.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are working on offering Gareth Bale a new contract and increasing his buy-out clause. Real Madrid are keen on acquiring the midfielder before that in order to save some money.
“It’s disappointing, but we will pick ourselves up again,” said Gareth Bale, who just recently received the Player of the Year award for Tottenham Hotspur. “We will just have to regroup and give it another go. We fought hard this season, the team and the manager have been great.
“We have got the record points for the club in the Premier League. That would normally be enough to qualify for the Champions League, but it’s not meant to be again. To play the way we have also but to miss out on our objective is very disappointing.”
Hot rumors from England suggest Manchester United are also interested in acquiring the services of Gareth Bale. The Manchester United owners appear to be in mood of spending big after the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Some reports suggest Manchester United will sell Wayne Rooney to Paris Saint-Germain in order to get hold of the funds needed to sign in Gareth Bale.
