In spite of all the speculation and reports of meetings between the two clubs, Real Madrid are yet to make an official offer to Tottenham Hotspur for their coveted midfielder Gareth Bale, according to the player’s agent. The Wales international has caught the eye of Real Madrid officials with spectacular form spanning over the past couple of seasons.

The 23-year-old has been linked with moves out of Tottenham Hotspur following another brilliant season, in which he scored 26 goals in 44 appearances. There are a couple of clubs interested in acquiring Gareth Bale’s services, but a big price tag and old interest in Welsh star has made Real Madrid frontrunners for Gareth Bale.

The appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as the new boss of Bernabeu and the signing of Malaga star Isco shows the ambition and mindset of Real Madrid. The club’s president Florentino Perez has already described Gareth Bale as a potential transfer prospect, although he refused to reveal if Real Madrid had sat at the table with Tottenham Hotspur.

Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett claims his client is right now busy preparing for the preseason training next week. In an interview to Futboleros on Marca TV, Jonathan Barnett revealed he hadn’t received any offers from Real Madrid and that Gareth Bale hadn’t agreed to any moves yet.

“Bale has not said no, nor yes,” Jonathan Barnett said. “There's no offer from Madrid; they have to talk between themselves and we will see what happens. He was at Malaga airport [on Tuesday], he's been in Marbella on holiday. He comes back to Tottenham for pre-season training next week.”

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale has dropped another hint over his potential move to Real Madrid. In an interview to Esquire magazine, Gareth Bale admitted he could move to Spain. The Welshman praised La Liga and confessed he was eager to play on foreign soil.

“Every player would like to get as high as they can and try different things. It's something that the future holds and it's something that I'm very interested to try,” Gareth Bale said.
