This may be the second round of the draft, but it seems like the excitement has just started.  Minutes after Manti Feb 24, 2013; Indianapolis, IN, USA; West Virginia Mountaineers quarterback Geno Smith throws a pass during the NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. Many projected Smith to be the first quarterback off the board, but EJ Manuel took that honor yesterday when he was selected by Buffalo yesterday.

Judging by the audience reaction, Jets fans don't know how to feel right now.  The team has a plethora of quarterbacks, including David Garrard, Tim Tebow, Mark Sanchez, Greg McElroy and Matt Simms.  Following a year of horrific offensive play, it is unclear which, if any, of them will emerge as a legitimate NFL quarterback.

Whoever comes out of the quarterback scrum has an uphill battle ahead of them.  The Jets lack playmakers at every skill position and, much to the fans' dismay, spent their two first rounders on defensive players.

Desperately in need of better QB play, they got the consensus top QB in the draft with the 39th overall pick without having to trade up for him. They've cut Tebow already and there are sure to be more cuts before training camp. The only thing perpetuating the "circus" theme now is the media and it's getting pretty exhausting.

If he can't play quarterback you can bet the Jets will find some role for him, y'know the same way they did with Tim Tebow. Um, never mind.
