With Miami (Fla.) deciding to self-impose a postseason ban amid NCAA investigation, Georgia Tech (6-5, 5-3) is this year’s ACC Coastal Division representative for the conference title game.Blog Photo - Georgia Tech Football: Yellow Jackets to Play in ACC Title Game

The Yellow Jackets, who were at one point 3-5 and had blowout losses to Middle Tennessee and BYU at home, have won three in a row to give themselves a chance at a BCS bowl.

But thanks to a resurgent triple option offense, Georgia Tech has been lighting up the scoreboard as of late, averaging 47.7 points over its last three games – including a 68-point performance against North Carolina.

Georgia Tech has a chance to burst No. 3 Georgia’s national title bubble this weekend, but won’t lose any ground with a loss.

No matter the outcome, the Jackets are set to square-off with No. 10 Florida State for the ACC championship game on December 1 in an unprecedented manner. A win here would place them in the Orange Bowl, which hosts the ACC winner and a BCS at-large bid.
