Mandatory Credit: Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY SportsWhile Dwight Howard had the sports world on a string Friday, the Golden State Warriors were hard at work trying to clear cap space to sign a big name player.

Some thought they were making moves for D12 and that he was stalling, but it turned out to be so they could sign Andre Iguodala.

They were able to ship off  Richard Jefferson, Andris Biedrins, Brandon Rush, a 2014 first round pick and one in 2017 to the Utah Jazz in order to make room.

Apparently, Denver was offering Iguodala five-years for $60 million with $52 million guaranteed, but he’d only get $4 million guaranteed the last year.

ESPN also reported that the Warriors have wanted Iguodala for a very long time, but couldn’t pull it off until right now.

Thank God! I am just glad they didn't get Dwight Howard. Much better signing for GS.
