Goodbye Scott Rolen...sniff

As I write this blog my heart feels as heavy as a ball used for bowlin'...
The Cardinals have traded my favarite third baseman, Scott Rolen.
 
I'll miss seeing his glove (Gold seven times) on The Cards game day...
The sureness I felt that he'd catch any ball coming his way.
 
I'll miss the way he would walk up to bat...
Swingin' and swayin', adjusting his hat.
 
A smile on my face...I said SMILE not a leer...
Enjoying the site of  that firm,  well shaped....um... view from the rear.
 
So I bid you goodbye from the Red to the Blue..
I shall miss you Scott Rolen and that backsided view.

It's just a little ditty I made up for my Diary to say Good Bye to my favorite player leaving my favorite team.  I'm sure he'll do well in Toronto and the Cards will survive fine without him.  I will just miss the site of him at bat as the Cardinal's games are the only ones I watch regularly so I won't be seeing him much anymore.  And I did get to see him in person at Spring Training in Florida in 2006.  He has a very nice smile!

I'm much like you... I don't like losing the players I've come to know and love... you are entitled to your girl moment to mourn your loss! Don't let the boys convince you otherwise

Thanks Natasha!  I don't think Ty realizes it's not so much what Scott contributes as it's his attributes!
