Interestingly, while multiple 1's have made it to the Hall of Fame in baseball, football and hockey.
NBA - Who is #1 Chauncey Billups or Tracy McGrady?
MLB - Ozzie Smith 'the Wizard',the best defensive player in the history of the game. The Wizard owned the web gem before the term existed, but beyond his lengthy highlight reel the longtime Cardinal was remarkably consistent, setting records for assists and double plays by a shortstop. He also accumulated 2,460 hits in 19 seasons. Brooklyn Dodgers Pee Wee Reese,Yankees skipper Billy Martin.
Jacques Plante, who won seven straight Vezina Trophies, led the Canadians to five straight Stanley Cups from 1956 to '60 and literally changed the face of hockey by becoming the first goaltender to wear a.mask regularly.

Warren Moon was a trailblazer of a different kind,as one of few African-American quarterbacks of his era. After going undrafted out of college in 1978 he won five straight CFL championships before.NFL decision-makers believed in his ability. He had nine 3000-yard passing seasons for the Oilers, Vikings and Seahawks at a time when such totals.were rare.
But neither Plante nor Moon, unlike Smith can unequivocally be called the best of any aspect of which is why Ozzie is No.1 among number 1's.
