Green Bay Packers Move to 3-1, I mean 2-2
No harm, no foul apparently. The Packers still came out with a victory and that's the nature of the game. They now sit at 2-2 in a division that is underperforming overall as the Detroit Lions are only 1-3, the Minnesota Vikings are 3-1 and the Chicago Bears are 2-1 heading into their Monday night matchup with Dallas.
Aaron Rodgers threw for four touchdowns and engineered each and every drive, out-dueling Drew Brees and bringing excitement to Lambaeu Field after the MNF catastrophe. The Packers defense came up big at the right moments and they got a little luck as well when Garret Hartley shanked a 43-yard go-ahead field goal with around two minutes to play.
At crucial moments, the Packer defense received tremendous effort and great pass deflections to stop the Saints drive and maintain momentum with the crowd behind them. They are set to meet with the Indianapolis Colts next weekend before setting the stage for an exciting matchup with the undefeated Houston Texans.
Cedric Benson has added a different element to the Packer offense, regardless of his low YPC average, he gives them a known threat to opposing defenses, which allows for Rodgers to find some time and holes he might not have seen prior to this season. They are poised to have an electrifying middle and end to the season behind their talented core and consistent coaching.
