Gregg Williams pre-game speech outlines bounty program

Don't be surprised if Gregg Williams never works for an NFL team again

Gregg Williams is serving an indefinite suspension for his role in the Saints' bounty program. With some new audio recordings that have been released, it wouldn't be surprising if he were never allowed back in the NFL again.

Warning: The following clip contains profane language. It's very NSFW. Viewer/listener discretion is advised.

A lot of his speech is just typical NFL coach diatribe. The "take out the head" analogy is a lot more harmless than it sounds, and the profane language is quite typical of NFL coaches.

The disturbing parts are Williams' comments about Alex Smith and Kyle Williams.

According to Sean Pamphilon, a documentary filmmaker who had inside access to the Saints during parts of last season, Williams made a gesture indicating that he would pay a player while he was talking about taking Smith, the 49ers QB, out of the game.

Also, Williams specifically told his players to target Kyle Williams' head, since he had recently suffered a concussion.

This is more damning evidence against Williams, piled on top of what the NFL already had. To much of the viewing public, almost all of whom have never been inside an NFL locker room, it will turn stomachs and even infuriate some.

Gregg Williams has basically dug his own grave, as far as his NFL career is concerned. I definitely wouldn't be shocked if Roger Goodell decided that the league is better off without him. Forever.

I couldn't have said it better myself, Scott.

The lingering question is whether the NFL already knew this before they handed down their initial suspensions.  Judging by the severity, I'd be willing to bet that they did.  Regardless, this just further damages Williams' rep in the court of public opinion as well as exposes more what goes on behind closed doors in football meetings.  I'd be absolutely shocked if we ever see him on the sidelines as a coach again.

Gregg Williams will never coach football again. That is just sickening.

Sure hope they have more on Williams, as ESPN continues to run it over and over, all Pamphilon said the gesture from Williams was to hit Smith in the chin. We hear that every Sunday when a QB comes back from a concussion or seems to get rattle when he is knocked on his butt a lot. No where there is he talking about ending someone's career, or wheeling off on a caret. Instead it is all about hitting hard and seeing if they can put the fear into the 49er's. any defensive player will tell you that if you can get an offensive player worried about you hitting them, so that you are in their hear, you can take that player out of the game, and gives your team a better chance of winning. Lets bring back clips of Deacon Jones, Howie Long when they talked about the things they would do during games to other players. If anyone out thinks the other teams in the NFL do not say the same things before games, at practices is naive on what goes on in the NFL. I hear people talk about how the NHL has more on Williams and the bounty system, I sure hope so, this clip is nothing to get all up in arms about.
