The former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola is patiently waiting for the Manchester United job. Pep Guardiola is ready to turn down the opportunity to run Manchester City in hopes of becoming the successor of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

The Scotsman has no idea of when he will finally retire as the boss of Old Trafford, yet Pep Guardiola is ready to wait a small lifetime in order to become the manager of Manchester United.

Manchester City are reportedly thinking about replacing Roberto Mancini with Pep Guardiola if the Italian is unable to win any silverware this season. Manchester City’s Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain met with Pep Guardiola a little while back.

Sources near to both ends suggest Txiki Begiristain proposed Pep Guardiola with a managerial role at the club in the future. However, the Spaniard turned down the offer stating he waiting for Sir Alex Ferguson’s imminent retirement.

Pep Guardiola has already confessed that he wants the Manchester United job badly. The Champions League winner took a hiatus from football last summer in order to spend more time with his family. Presently, Pep Guardiola is enjoying vacations in New York alongside his family. 

Rumors of Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement are expected to spark up once again during the summer transfer window, but as long as the Old Trafford boss is in “ruddy good health” no other man will be allowed to close in on the Manchester United job.

Pep Guardiola can earn twice the amount of money he will earn at Manchester United if he joins Manchester City. However, challenges and legacy that Pep Guardiola is actually after.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been rebuilding Manchester United since last season, which means the legendary Scotsman is close to calling quits.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola has been spotted at least three times near Manchester City officials since he moved to New York.  Media reports claim Pep Guardiola has already been offered a three-year contract by Manchester City.
